I had mine removed when I had the headers put in and it did not affect performance at all. I do have the SES light on but it will be tuned out later without a problem. Dont forget to order the plug for the EGR hole when you do it though.

Does the gas milege go down?Just wondering
I hear if you tune the car not only does the tune delete the code out the fuel specs are fixed ......so the gas milege will be fixed.
So with no tune I'm assuming the gas milege goes down

If it did go down I'm sure you could run a conservative tune to get even more mileage if you really wanted to.

My engine idles at the same RPM as before. The only "problem" is that the RPMs will drop very low at points to less than 500 causing the engine to kind of stumble. This is only while not moving such as when sitting at a light. It is not all the time either, just every once in a while. The car has never stalled out or anything like that and I figure this will go away as soon as I get the car tuned.
