Default Problems caused by my Aeroforce Interceptor gauge...

Thought I was just post this to see if anyone else had similar problems. I bought a used Aeroforce from a friend in Canada a couple months ago. He used it in his 99 T/A and it worked fine. I have only driven my car a few times since the install since it was in the shop being painted almost a month. The first time I had a problem was I'd taken it out to go to work and the "service vehicle" light and "brake" light came on although the brake was not on. I wasnt sure what was the problem and then thought maybe it was the aeroforce so I turned off the car, unplugged the gauge and started the car back up again. No warning lights and the car was fine. Coming home from work the car ran fine and no warning lights but when I took the car out again after a couple days the same thing happened with the service vehicle and brake light.

Again I disconnected it and everything was fine. I contacted Aeroforce and they said sometimes the gauge can get a glitch and unplugging and plugging back up again will fix it. This Saturday the “service vehicle” came back on again and the brake light but the brake light went out and the service vehicle stayed on. About 2 miles up the road I noticed the car started to sound odd…a very pronounce sewing machine noise……more then the usual I have with my cam/springs and the exhausted sounded odd. It was gone next time I started to car up but then last night when I took the car out to take some photos of it the car started to sound odd again about 2 miles away like before…this time however no service vehicle or brake light. When I came to a stop and went to make a turn it sounded like a misfire and it hardly had any power. I unplugged the gauge and everything was fine. I sent Aeroforce an email and they told me to send it back and they’ll see if they can figure out what’s going on. So has anyone ever heard of this? It’s an older Interceptor btw… 1.4V. It seems that the gauge is shorting out somehow and causing my car to get incorrect readings…hence why it was running so oddly.

Its Aerospace. They make the interceptor gauge that scans the car.
