what kind of y-pipe or ORY for a lowerd car
i am about to purchase a pair of Pacesetter LT's from Texas Speed, my only concern is that i have intrax springs and bilsten shocks. My car is lowered 2.0 in the front and 1.8 in the rear so its pretty low, i am wanting to know what kind of y-pipe or ORY should i get for clearance. i have a 3" cutout and it hasn't ever really bottom out.

Same here. I've had both and the pacesetter has slighly better ground clearance. It's flattened a little on top to help. Mine still bangs on the floor though.

Do you have poly mounts? I had Prothanes and don't have any problems hit the Y pipe hitting my floor. You could try prying it down a little or shoving a rubber bumper in there.

The BBK's were designed on a lowered car. How do I know this? Because BBK used my car for their prototyping of their headers and ORY... it's lowered 2 inches like yours, so there is plenty of ground clearance... I drove over speed bumps pretty easily... besides the sheer designing for better clearance they also made the y-pipe with a 2.5" into 3" for better clearance...
not to mention, they have a better coating than the pacesetters and come in a nicely priced package with both the LT's and the ORY... and i agree with the above mentioned, it's always a good idea to install some poly motor mounts while your in there!

If your lowered I think your going to have problems with any off the shelf Y pipe. It's either going to scrape the ground or bang on the floor. There just isn't enough room for a 3" diameter pipe. Poly mounts and/or being creative with hangers seem to be the only way to keep it from hitting the floor if the pipe is up high enough to give decent ground clearance. I currently have a 1/2" piece of rubber between the Y and the floor and it doesn't bang but causes vibration inside the car and still causes KR.

Yes the BBK's installed just fine...
I have NO banging on the floorboard... I however nipped that problem in the bud before it started by doing poly motor mounts at the same time... I also have no rubbing the ground with the y-pipe either... unless of course I haul *** over a speed bump, steep incline/decline, or have a car full of fat asses.... but those problems will be with any header...
BBK designed these with ground clearance in mind... that's the reasoning for the 2.5" into 3" merge... being the front portion of the y-pipe is 2.5" it gives additional ground clearance especially for lowered cars... and I doubt you'll loose much/if any horsepower from the 2.5" piping... i mean look at my sig HP numbers
