true duals/gains from lm1 with H/C/I
I was just curious to know if there would be a decent gain going from a ory/lm1 to a true dual set up on a H/C/I car? If so how much? So if you done this on a head and cam/intake what did you gain(if any)?

I gained 11rwhp at the peak power, it was under the y-pipe number untill 5500rpm and it gained from there untill 6700
thats on a big cammed 396ci motor with 1 7/8 headers.
I went back to the y-pipe and have a GMMG on there now
11hp is not worth the extra noise, inside rattling, and ground clearence issues

Just a guess, you probably wont see gains until you hit 400hp, and even then, it probably wont do much until you pass 5k RPMs or so.
Still, all things being equal, an X setup is superior. How much? well, thats up to you.
That being said, when I do exhaust on this car, it will be the TPS Dual setup.

definitely go the truedual route and x-pipe
I had a lm1 on my car before lt's and I liked it but it doesn't compare to the sound of Td's..
check out ls1sounds.com and compare what muffler you want to go with

I find it funny that guys advise against true duals sometimes and they themselves run cutouts. If their Y pipe is so great why bother with cutouts? Chock it up to personal preference. It's your car do what you like. If TSP true duals can be found on cars running 9's then that's good enough for me. Plus, I like the sound.

I went from ory and cutout to true duals x pipe dumped and gained torque but had virtually the same peak hp. This was on two diff dynos, but, the peak numbers were within 1 rw of each other. The torque however went up about 13. Car felt stronger low-mid as well as sounding MUCH better.
