Default Summit Electric Cutouts

Does anyone have any experience with Summit Brand Electric cutouts??? They are about 50 bucks cheaper than the others.

I don't have experience with the summit cutouts but I have used a cheap E-cutout before. So far in the year and a half its been on my car I've replace the motor because the gears stripped. The plate cracked and broke in half, the plate was so thin that it will rattle if you dont close it exactly right. After that one of wires that attach to the motor broke so I had to resolder it on. Spend the extra cash, the headaches of cheap parts aren't worth it IMHO.

Never heard of it, Id just reccomend a QTP or DMH considering they have been out for awhile and have PLEANTY or R&D backing them.

Summit Brand parts are normally name brand parts just sold cheaper as "Summit Parts".

For a long time the K&N CAI was listed twice, once as a Summit Brand CAI and once as a K&N CAI. They both had the same picture and description, the Summit one was just about $50 cheaper.

Exactly what I am talking about guys. I am big into guns and you wouldn't believe how many times you see the exact same gun parts used in a 1100 dollar 1911 and used in a 500 dollar 1911.

I'm in no hurry, but hell, if I need to be the first to try them I will!

my friend has qtp cutouts after his longtubes on his 95 z28 and he needed to cut and weld them in. I was wondering if cutting and welding still needs to be done to fit the DMH ones in with long tube headers and an ory?

every cutout will have to be welded in as all the actual piping is a straight piece of tube with another one coming off of it at an angle...the entire cutout unit will need to be welded somewhere in the exhaust regardless of brand
