I had a gearhead buddy claim a 383 stroker with 5.7 rods will only last a few seasons of street use due to increased rod bearing wear. most stokers I see run at least 10/40 if not 20/50 oil. I based my build off a golen racing 383 they recomend 20/50 conventional. I run Rotella T sythetic 5/40. but boke it in on 20/50. any one have early wear on a 383?

I have 13 years, almost 52,000 street/strip miles and drawers full of time slips....no problems or issues...The short block hasnt been touched since it was built in 1995...The heads were re-ported once in 2005 when I wanted a bit more out of it and switched to a slightly bigger baby cam...Its all in the use of quality, durable parts and extreme attention to build detail...

i love how LT1 T/A's look with those type of rims and especially lowered just slightly. your car is my dream car except i'd do another color than red ( i already get pulled over way too much haha! )
