PLEASE HELP!!! M6 TO A4 Swap Gone BAD
I have a 96 Camaro z28 M6, I Have a donor car that is a 95 transam A4. I have read the swap guides and did what they said, I swapped my A4 computer Harness, Pedals, Trans, Shifter and everything. But I do not have any fire on the Plugs and the fuel pump will not run. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I GET OUT THE GAS AND LIGHTER???

I used the ECM from my 95 Transam, every Connector was the same save for the Crank sensor on the bottom of the timing cover----which I also swapped for mine. So in short. The 96 Camaro now has a 95 transam trans, computer, wiring harness, pedals, shifter, distributor, timing set.......so you think I can use this harness but I will need a 96 a4 computer???
.... fuses are good.

It should start and run regard less. Opti is the same. You will need to swap Knock sensors and just put the 95 PCM in.
I had one recently where the PCM was not plugged in all the way. Guys towed it out here and I spent 20 minutes checking found the problem and sent him home in less then an hour.
This thing should 'run' on either computer

Well inside the passenger kick panel there is a 4 wire connector with the large purple wire which activates the starter and a small red wire that will turn on the fuel pump, there are a few differences in the colors of the wires. I can make the fuel pump run regardless what I need to know is why on earth Im not getting spark. Everything appears to be connected Ive even checked for Bent Pins...where should the computer get a reference for ignition??

it will run either computer.....what your prob is that every year gets its power sources from different places...your motor harness will plug right into your under dash one but the power sources on a 95 and a 96 are different...so therefore you arent going to get power....just get ahold of me and ill tell you what your easiest way of doing this is...ive been through all if this with my car...its a pain in the *** if you dont knwo waht your doing but its very simple if you know what to do

Couple things for you:
1. Did you bypass the clutch pedal switch? If you don't connect those together or run them to the NSS, you won't get the engine to crank.
2. 95 and 96 engine harnesses swapped some of the wires around in the strut tower harness and the flat plug in the car. You need to look at each plug, wire by wire and verify they are the same. GM was wonderful on these cars and figured that they needed to change some of the ignition feed, constant power and serial data locations which will REALLY **** you off sometimes.
Honestly, I would have just swapped the transmission part of the harness to your original engine harness. Since you didn't, here is what will have to be done. I'll label each plug for you and you can compare the differences and make the appropriate changes; I'm guessing you'll be wishing you left the original harness in the car once you get everything changed. It's not that bad, but you can see why you don't get spark when you look at the charts i made. I used the information provided on www.shbox.com, the indispensable LT1 information site, to make the charts....

Good deal. Every A4-M6 or vice versa I've ever done, I've just swapped out the trans portion. Takes a whopping hour if you take your time (maybe 2-3 hours your first time) and make it look stock...

ok I see what the problem is, I just have one major problem, this kids Z28 on the passenger strut tower both those connecters have been removed, and the wires are spliced, which leaves me with NO IDEA what pink wire goes where and no way to tell lol. I can tell on the body side what wire goes to what fuse because I popped them all last night to label them. What I havent got a clue about is which pink wire runs what on the computer side. Im new to wiring and tuning as you can tell...

The pinks are switched ignitions. Yes, if you want to know exactly where they go, you will need to probe them and check where they go. Check the charts I posted to help you tracing where exactly they go (injectors, etc). On LT1, you don't need to disable the VATS since it's still in the car equipped with VATS.

Yup.. the pinks on the Wheel Well are Wires coming from the Fuse Box that are hot with Key on. The Orange are constant hot with the Battery.
You may have to turn the Key on, and pull one Fuse at a time testing each one with a Test Light to narrow it down..I have done it that way before.
I re-pinned several things when I did my LS Swap and now the T56 Swap..like mentioned above, once you get in there and know your way around, it's not that hard to do.
