WHOA... what is this blasphamy
Ok... so i live in Florida... just got hit by hurriccane fay a week back... so i was driving in the rain... and turned my brights on... they worked... now i go bac kthe next day to turn them on... the switch doesnt feel like its clicking into the on position.... so now today... driving in the rain again... i used my windsheild wipers... parked the car to go into the mall... came out. cranked it up and the windsheild wipers turned another time... and got stuck in the middle of the turning cycle. and they stay there... anyone have any ideas what this could be???

ok. and thanks mycamaross... if you have enough time to post an absolutely helpless post... then post some help. geesh. but ok. ill try to figure it out tomorro. would that still cause my windsheild wiper to act liek that?

Sorry, perhaps some of us have been doing this too long and assume too much. But when you are having problems with your wipers and somebody says replace the switch, of course they mean the wiper switch. And the wiper switch is part of the turn signal lever so yes, replace the lever.
Replacing the lever is very simple. There is a small trim panel (about 1" x 2") on the side of the plastic steering column housing that just slides off. Once you remove that little panel, you can remove the one screw that holds the lever in place. Then all you have to do is pull the lever out and disconnect the wiring connector. Installation is the reverse - insert the new lever, plug in the wiring harness, insert the retaining screw, and replace the trim panel.
On a side note, if your wipers are still stuck in the middle of the windshield, try using the washer switch. It is a separate switch (electrically) and might still work to park the wipers even if the main wiper switch is defective.

ok. thanks all. i tried my brights again yesterday... and they came on... but now im stuck with replacing both windsheild wiper mechanism... i guess i broke them trying to push them down.. : / dang
