Turbonetics T76 vs. TC76

Red face Turbonetics T76 vs. TC76
Ok so I bought a turbo kit from hp performance and I just recently cancelled the turbocharger. Because the 60 mm turbo it comes with seems kind of small especially once I build the engine and want to run more boost. So now I need to buy a turbo to go with the rest of the kit. I can’t decide between the turbonetics T76 or the TC76 with the F1 wheel. What are the major differences between the two turbos? Also what A/R would you suggest?

.96 AR either way. I don't know much about the exact differences between the two other than the T series has a slight advantage on power output. I believe the TC spools faster however.

I think the t76 has the bigger ar compressor cover and bigger backing plate to make it fit....ask jose at www.forcedinductions.com

.96 a/r for sure. Get the TC76 and you're good to go. They are almost the same, TC76 would be more compact im assuming and meet your needs easily with a 346 LS1.

Yes the TC is a little more compact then the T series unit. Either will allow you to torture your passenger

yeh johnv,
i'm more trying to get my head around the turbo sizing, vs turbonetics orginal size

has forced inductions, just cnc 'ed a different cover?

Its basically all the same save for a compressor cover and backing plate for a 60- or 62-1 machined to fit the larger compressor wheels. T-netics does it them selfs.

what kind of power can the t76 make on stock cubes? What is the max efficiant boost?

What is an HP Performance Turbo kit??????????(Nevermind, just googled it)
And get the TC78....all the power potential with great spool time and more compact dimensions!

Really my turbonetics TC76 was 1k shipped? Lets see you find a Garrett for that price.
