Talking 4.8 T/A vs. 4.6 GT

So a buddy of mine slung 2 rods threw the side of his LS1 and used a 4.8 truck motor and tranny and threw it all together and here are the results lol!

wow that t/a runs pretty good! any track times/dyno numbers with that motor?

No dyno numbers and I'm not to sure of the bolt on's, but the car ran a 13.5x or 13.6x on motor and on 120 shot of spray went 12.59 lol!

4.8L iron block/alum heads LSx based truck motor. Most likely came out of a Sierra or a Tahoe.

The car has Pacesetter Headers into x-pipe and dynomax bullets, granatelli (however it's spelled) air lid, 4.10 gears and that's all I honestly know of. And of course Nitrous, but it wasn't on the car when the video was done.

a local camaro last year ran a 4.8 with a 230s cam, LTs, LS6 intake, t56, 456 gears, Kmember, stepped edlebrock headers and it clocked off a 12.2 with a mph of around 112.
