iat mod resistor question
OK so for the iat tricker mod you use a 750 ohm resistor right? I just got back from radioshack and all they had was a 1000 ohm. My thinking is 750 ohms or higher is going to tell the pcm that it's 140* outside right? I sure hope so cuz I just wasted $1.07 if not!

Both of you guys are correct, there are two ways to do the IAT mod.
1-To trick the pcm that it is colder thus increasing timing(4.7 ohm, 1/2 watt resistor):
http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...sity/index.htm
look under computer/diagnostics
2-To trick the pcm to think it is warmer thus retarding timing(using nitrous etc)750 ohm resistor:

Thanks to Robert56 for the link.

on a bolt on car and even small cam cars timing isn't a huge deal. Before I had the spray I was on 26 total wot timing and then went to 22 with the juice and n/a to n/a I went 12.4@111 in 50 degree weather on a 1.85 60'. Then I went on my nitrous tune in 90 degree weather and a 1.82 60' and ran a 12.6@109.5. So from Losing 4* wot timing and going up 40* in temp and ALOT more humididty I only lost 2 tenths and 1.5 mph to have the comfort to know everything will run perfectly...I'll take it.

BTW I've already sprayed 150 through it out of the hole all the way down the 1/8 mile, but reading on here how everyone is pulling some timing I got worried and thought I better try it to be safe.

Yeah the guys at NX acted like 150 on a stock tune/motor wasn't a big deal either, spray it and call it a day. I've just read a lot of stuff about pulling timing and what not. Like I said I'm a broke MFer, can't afford to blow **** up.

Normally i would agree...but if a 75 shot gets him 106 ponies and a full second and half faster ET on the bottle then i wouldnt complain....but he ran 90% of the time on the bottle.....I trust Jason at TSP 100% 10 times over and he is the one who tuned it.
