Default Fuel Pressure Issue

Today me and a buddy tested my fuel pressure will driving. I have a constant 58 will cruising and under WOT. The weird thing is that when I go to start the car every time it will not start on the first crank, like it use to. We watched the pressure will I turn the key on not starting it was at zero never got any pressure. Then as you crank it for about 5-8 seconds it will finally start as the fuel pressure slowing goes up to 58. I need to know what is going on here as I am very frustrate with this. Thanks Trevor

Sounds like a bad check valve in the fuel pump allowing the pressure to all bleed off. Could also be an injector stuck open, but more likely its the fuel pump check valve.

Do you hear the pump turn on, when you do this? If so, then it's likely what 00Formula said.
If there's no prime cycle , then there's an electrical problem...

Is this the OEM pump, or has it been changed prior to this problem showing up?

What if you cycle the key switch several times without actually cranking the engine over while the gauge is hooked up?? If it takes more then twice it is most likely the pump...That gives the pump enough volume moved that even if the check was stuck it should register by then..I would probably just put in a 255 now before it got me stranded later on..Could be a really really dirty filter but I cant see it pushing that kind of pressure through it if that dirty...

I'd first check the online fuel filter if it's old and if that doesn't solve it, get a racetronix pump/hotwire
