Default Entered my GXP in a burnout contest today

Entered my GXP in a burnout contest at the Cruising Sherwood Auto Show today.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1WIEo9rof0 Updated the video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9m1GW7-60Qo Here's another video of my car that I found on youtube.

Rear tires 0 mph + front tires 104 mph = Lots of tire smoke!

The new tires are in the garage and going on Monday.

Ok I am going to get my *** kicked on this question but...this is my first V8....and I was wondering how do you guys do burnouts like that for such a long period of time....

Do you use the parking brake???

Actually the wheel chucks & the parking brake weren't enough to keep it in place. There were a couple of guys that had to help hold the car in place.

I had the best burnout and made it to the top 3 shootout.

When they were getting votes from the crowd instead of listing my car they called my car a silver Firebird that ran eairlier but didn't do very good so the crowed didn't say anything.

The way the guy running the burnout contest 1st introduced (before 1st burnout) the winner it gave the impression that they were friends but I'm sure that didn't have anything to do with him winning. His 1 tire did make some good smoke.

There was a TV crew at the show & my son was interviewed after the burnout contest. They were very surprised about the GXP and wanted to learn more about it.
