Either one's going to be really expensive. Fix the head gasket and park the SS.

dude, a car is a car ... if it saves miles on the monte, drive the mustang like you stole it ... fix the head gasket, hell even swap out for the same motor if its completely ****, youll still be ahead money wise and the best part is, ding ding ding ... you already have a running car so this is your project/ beater to get working in the winter

anyone who has a devout and hateful allegiance to one of the big 3 car brands over the other 2 is retarded ... liking 2 of the 3 is ok though ...

i myself prefer fords, and would trade the monte in a heartbeat for a 2004 mercury marauder in dark toreador red with less than 20,000 miles

Find a totaled gt, (some bonehead is always wrecking a pony car), and salvage the drivetrain out of it.
I am not a fan of vehicles with other manufacturer's running gear in them.

My beater is a '96 Crown Victoria. Not much of a bad weather car though. At 106k miles it's holding up nicely.

i believe in the late 90s. you could get the v6 supercharged or the 5.0 in it.

Oh that long 2 door that looks sort of like a Ford Taurus. I looked it up and yeah its that 3.8 v6. it should work. I believe it puts out more HP than those 95-04 Mustang GT's if im not mistaken.

The T-bird SuperCoupe came out in '89 and I think was built until about '95 or so. It was a 3.8 pushrod motor, as mentioned above. It made 210 HP, which was a lot back in the day. The problem is, I'm pretty sure the SC 3.8 was a non-OBD2 motor, so swapping it into a '99 Mustang could have all sorts of complications.

As long as it's the old pushrod 3.8, then the blower ought to fit. Thing is, there's a lot better ways to making 210 HP than strapping an antiquated supercharger to an old motor.

Easy answer.
Strip the car completely out. Weld in a cage, put the battery in the back. Grab a 460 and C6, go racing!
Either that or sell it to me for $201.

Good to see another Ford guy!
