Default Tips: How to keep under hood temps down....

Just like the title says, I am interested in doing some cooling mods to my car. What can you all suggest to get my IAT's down? Tranny cooler? Header wrap? cooler thermostat? What else?

dont mess with the thermostat, they make better power where they are now in terms of temp vs. lowering it

Modded Inferno hood, remove the rubber from the cowl, shim the hood up, make intake headlights or a FWI.

EDIT: Just saw you've got an SS, skip the Inferno.

EDIT 2: I wanna see an SS with a HLI.

Aren't the DT headers already coated? So that should help. I believe it says in the instructions not to wrap them.

Build a true fenderwell intake. My throttlebody and intake piping is cool to the touch at the track.

To be perfectly honest, sure no one's surprised by this, I rolled around with a hood delete for a couple of days.

Run distilled water with a bottle of water wetter from Redline and your engine will run much cooler.
Suck your coolant out with a shop vac.

Get your fans re-tuned so they come on earlier. Maybe run a remote switch?
