it has preset tunes for 91 Octane.. 91 Octane No DOD.. Diablo Tune (for 93 octane).. and Diablo Tune No DOD...

And for the tranny, there's a Firm Shift tune and a Hard Shift tune..

how would the trans tunes affect my transmission if i already had a transgo shift kit installed?

all it does is raise the pressuree in the trans simulating a harder shift. you may not even need it because you have the kit. you dont need to do the trans tune and still have the engine tune. custom tunes will do different up/down shift points to increease performance. plus it acts as an OBDII code reader and clearer as well. and a data logger.

oh, i didnt know you could tune trans and engine seperatly. my bully dog in my truck had those combined. you just selected what power you wanted for the fuel, and it tuned motor and trans together accordingly

There are lots of things the shift kit does not adress which is why youll want a full tune done, Things like TCC lockup engagement points, shift speeds, commanded shift times, etc...

it depends on the year of the vehicle.. 2006 or older trucks (2004 or older cars), it was a single pcm that controlled both the engine and tranny, so yes, same with diablo, you'd just select one of the octane tunes and it installed it to the pcm, and also made changes to tranny settings, since it's a single pcm for both...

for 2007 and newer trucks (2005 or newer cars), there are separate ECM and TCM modules, so different/separate tunes for engine and tranny, that get selected/installed separately...

Yeah I alredy have a tune and am getting trans go installed over the next week or so.

My trans line pressures are raised and the shifts are firmer.

I hope there won't be any slamming or excessive pressures. If anything I will baby to the tuners place for a re-tune

I just put the tuner on ebay for 260 shipped. I will cut 10 bucks for you guys at 250 shipped to the lower 48.
