Default Two problems I need help with???

One is this Battery Saver Mode that turns the A/C off. What is this thing and what's it's purpose? Number two is I can't get my scanner to link up to the car to pull any trouble codes. I'm assuming my scanner is in working order. I've never had a problem with it before. Anyone else having trouble getting a scanner to link up? BTW the car is a 2006 GXP.

A communication error that prevents the scanner from linking to the can system is either a bad connection at a computer or module, or a bad ECU.

Yes, any thing after 1996 on a GM car is OBD2.

Check the connector to make sure it has ground and power

Green is ground , Red is voltage....<br/>

Also, with your KEY ON , ENGINE OFF, see if the check engine light is on. If it is NOT on the car is not communicating with the computer. But if the car is starting n such , then its some weird issue with wiring or some data lines. If the car starts and runs fine , its unlikely something wrong with the ECU, but you never know these days.

and 1 more though, if your getting a message saying battery saver, it is likely the starting voltage of your car was in the 10 ,11's aka bad battery or depleted battery
