Intune i2 Tuner not reading my vin#
What's up fellas, Has anyone on here experienced your intune i2 Tuner device not being able to recognize your vehicles vin#? It will not recognize vin# auto or manually when entered. This is my second tuner both were brand new out the box and I'm getting same message from both tuners. Car is a 2009 impala SS. Any help or advice would be highly appreciated Thanks.

Yea 1 owner before I purchased vehicle and the dealer told me it was an old lady. I don't think the ecm is locked neither. It's weird because when I plug in a scan tool and go to vehicle info it shows my vin# so I'm very confused to why the tuner device wont recognize vin#. Thanks for your response

any aftermarket/non-factory electronics or electrical items? if so, they need to be disconnected..
battery has to have a good full charge..
key turned to ON position..
everything inside the car turned off (lights, radio, fan/blower, etc), doors closed...

No aftermarket electronics installed on car. But how ever the very first time I went to hook up the tuner my battery did die after trying to get it to work. Had car jumped that weekend so following day I drove around for about 15mins to charge up battery before trying it again. Tried it again and got same message (vin# not recognized ). I did accidently start car when it said turn key to ON position so don't know if that messed something up? Everything was turned off when trying to hook up tuner. Do you think a bad battery would cause this to happen even if I drove around to get it some what charged up?

it's quite possible.. I would put a battery charger on the car and get the battery fully charged..
and if it still doesn't work, then something is funky with the car/ecm somewhere, since you mentioned that another programmer wouldn't work either..

I'm going to buy a new battery to solve that problem. So if I replace battery and still get this problem what would you suggest on next step? Was told by Tech Support to go to dealer and have vin# reprogrammed to ecm but that doesn't seem right to me because if I plug in a scan tool it works just fine and when i go to vehicle info it shows vin#.
