Default 3.73's to 4.10's

i had 3.73s in my car until the last run at the track. it eat the teeth off the pinoin lol. i debaitin on going to 4.10s cause i came across some cheap. im trying to save for a 9in. my car hardly ever sees 1/4 mile tracks mainly 1/8. wat do u guys thinks should i stay with 3.73s or go with the 4.10s. car dont get very many highway miles.

Make sure the car won't go into 4th with the 4.10's before you get them otherwise it will only be slower and you will need some taller tires for it to work.

sorry i read it wrong the car goes across the 1/8th at like 5300 rpms

Guys that run 1/8 mile usually run more gear. I would do it you could probably run 456's if you wanted.

yes..agreed

where did the car trap rpm wise with spray and the 3.73? This is important before making your choice, though running 1/8 there should be 0 issues.

I am planning to go from a 3.73 to 4.10 in my combo here soon.

Again most of you guys have heads and cam setup, he doesnt so won't be turnin as much rpm. I was out of rpm in 1/4 with 3.73's, 150shot, and a 26" tire with stock heads and cam.

I know you said it was mostly 1/8mile but I think you'd really be screwed if you ran 1/4.

k guys thanks alot.i will probly go ahead with the 4.10s. just because i came across a good deal. i plain on goin with a 9 in next spring. i will go bak to 3.73s then.
