I don't know about Mad but I have heard good things about him. I went with Trifecta Performance for convenience and I was super pleased. Vince is a super guy and will help you day or night.

no problem with the powertune here..infact i emailed Ion with my questions about the added parts i put on and to see if we could get more out of the tune if i had a reflash aand he said NO! he could have said yeah send me your PCM and 50.00 and we will see if anything is left on the table but he did not do such.....he is honest, fast and reliable! i have now had a few different tunes for my customers and friends through Ion and NO PROBLEMS at all..

Probably not much besides the price. People seem to be equally pleased with both.

I just ordered a mail order tune from MadZ28.com for my CC503 full bolt-on build and I am very happy with it. The car idles perfectly and it pulls strong. I have yet to get it on a dyno and see what power I am making or where my AF ratios are at, but so far I am a satisfied customer.

i am running one... car runs strong and is great... but he didnt eliminate the lockup in 3rd... so my verter will lock at 100mph in 3rd gear... but then again i didnt tell him to (iwas unaware of it at the time) shipping was fast and easy and he always anwsered my calls and questions i recommend him... but if u can get a good dyno tune i would go with that

Ion was easy to work with I would recommend him to anyone looking for a mailorder tune.

BTW Ion runs MadZ28 if you didn't know.

i had ion do an obd I conversion and tune for me years ago and he nailed it. we had a few dyno pulls and a few portable wide band runs and everything was dead on and there was nothing for us to tweak.

They're very comparable with PCM4Less, either are great choices for a MO tune and a lot better than a handheld tunner.

I want to go with MadTuner, but when you go to the 93 LT1 page, it says not for internal modifications (my plans are in my sig) - none of the other years say that.

Is Ion not good with the 93's?
