Default What do you think it will make???

I have a Pontiac Trans Am WS6, 52000 miles. I have a K&N filter through Ram Air, 58mm Throttle Body, Throttle Body by-pass, MSD Opti, Underdrive & Alternator Pullies, 11:1 Compression, LT4 Heads (Ported/Polished/Gasket matched) LT4 intake manifold (Ported/Polished/Gasket matched) Comp Cam 230/236 Duration, Pacesster LT Ceramic Coated, True Dual Exhuast, Smooth Bellow, EGR & AIR delete, Spec Stage 3 Clutch w/Steel Flywheel, 42 lb Injectors, 4.10's. The car will be going on the dyno in the next few weeks. Just curious what numbers you think it will make...

Eleventy 1 THOUSAND.... and one half. HP and TQ!

310hp and 330tq w/o a tune.

And not to be a ********, but it'll come across like that, saying you have LT4 stuff only makes us think "Man, what a poor sap who wasted his money ". I'd stick to just saying "H/C/I" for Heads, Cam, Intake. heh Sorry.

No biggy, I'm just new to this whole thing. I think its pretty cool though, still learning all of the lingo. As far as the LT4, I don't think I wasted my money. The car runs/looks/sounds great.

Yea, except after you port an LT1 and LT4 intake/heads, you basically have the same end result. The LT4 heads only offer a slight benefit when ported almost as far as they can be vs LT1's. That's what I meant by it's a waste, since you could've stuck with the factory heads and intake. I should've mentioned that to begin with I guess :\ Didn't want it to sound like a rant though heh

I get what your saying, but the LT4 head is a 195 cc, whats a LT1? Makes a bit of a difference right? Than on top of that with p/p? What do you plan on doing with yours?

170cc stock LT1 and 195cc stock LT4. It's been awhile since I looked at the cross section cuts of the LTx heads, and I thought that the LT1 had more meat that could be cut away than it actually does. So really the LT4 heads aren't a bad buy if you have a lot of money to drop and are making tons of HP.
A = LT1 & B = LT4

Here's a decent chart, although quite lacking in info (like AI and LE's port jobs). And how Modern Musclecar managed to screw up their flow baffles me lol

So factor in the cost of the LT4 heads (not very cheap) and then the cost to have them ported out, you could've dumped that money elsewhere. Like buying a cam, springs, roller rockers and still probably have enough for injectors lol

My plans, I have none Get my transmission back in my car is the current plan!

I'm going to guess right around ~400rwhp. Give or take about 15. Depends on the tune, and the dyno.

I'm hoping for around 400, but we shall see what happens. The car will be tuned on a dyno jet, which is known for being "forgiving" when it comes to numbers. But whatever it says I will go with, haha. I hope to get more feedback, thanks to those who have already.

With your research, LT4 still makes more power, therefore if that is your goal than it's worth it. Based on your pictures, it shows... I'm not loaeded, but I will PM you my numbers when I get the dyno...

When do you plan on hitting the Dyno? You never mentioned though if your PCM will be tuned for your setup, or if all of this is running off the factory tune.

Ah ok, so a Dyno Tune even. Well then I'd have to say... I'll go optimistic with my new guess: 394hp 412tq

I'm planning on having the tune sometime next week. It will be on a dynojet, i'm hoping that after all of that crap she turns some decent numbers. If your guess is right I'd be happy. I'm hoping for 400, but as long as it's close...
