Red face 3,000 tax refund to spend

Ok so im about to get my tax refund its $3k i have a 93formula that is currently getting plastic surgery. I already have a 383 at the machine shop being built. its all forged4340 crank, hbeam rods and i believe -5cc mahle coated pistons(may be -15cc). i dont have heads or cam yet, just short block so far. i also have : umi- k member, front upper and lower adjustable control arms, rear lower control arms, panhard bar. hooker jethot coated lt 1-3/4to 3" headers. this is to be a street/ strip car emphasis on street(racer). i have a built 700r4 trans and stock rear as of now. id like a blower but cant afford it all, probly might spray.i will have more to spend before summer but for now i have $3k and was wondering what the experts here think i should spend it on, im thinking heads and cam combo from AI but do i spend it all here or just most and what about hydraulic vs solid rollers. Also what about computers and optis ive read some and heard plenty about theese problems. just a new topic thanks. hopefully i can get some pics up from the body shop.

Well since you asked. I could use $500 The computer in our 93s is the real factor of your car right now. Sure, it can accommodate what you're after, but not as well as a newer one. You might want to look into a 94-95 setup. You can even run it w/o a MAF if you'd like to run the same style setup (Speed density). With out heads and cam though, you'd not make but a few more horse (literally) than stock, so that is a total must. You might want to look into an LE2 setup though to save some money (I think AI is kinda pricey isn't it?) if you do plan to do a computer upgrade.

There is a le2 steup in the forsale section that would fit you nice at $1500 and you could do a nitrous kit. Still have some money left over for odds and ends!

I would leave a lot of money around for odds and ends. A Le2 setup would be pretty nice. Should be a good setup from the looks of things. The 3k will go much faster than you plan tho, ask anyone who built a motor with a budget in mind.

I'd finish the engine with it. Clearly, that 10 bolt is gonna blow and go, but you can always slap another used one in there for now. Your suspension is pretty much done, too.
I'd do the heads/cam package, leaving it to those that know more about the specifics.
The computer swap shouldn't be that big, financially, should it? Harness and ECM, Tunercat and a cable so you can tune the dang thing.
Personally, I'd avoid solid lifters. PITA in a car.

I'd go for that le2 setup and then with the money left over either buy or put it towards a new rear end. Then move onto suspension. LCA, sub frames, the list goes on
