Trifecta. Better price, amazing customer service. No turn around sending and recieving your new pcm. Plus if you have a problem with your tune then you won't have to send your pcm back and have it reprogrammed. Vince is a super nice guy. Very smart. Especially just tuning for bolt ons and the such. If you had a direct port nitrous setup and some crazy huge custom ground cam then maybe you would need custom dyno/street tune.

Hope this helps.

Ed Wright at Fast Chips has more experience than anyone with LT1 tuning. Ed races an LT1 himself. Bob

PCMForless here. You don't have to have any down time either. You can ask them if they have any extra computers and either purchase an additional computer with your new tune on it and then send your factory computer to them, or simply buy the 2nd computer outright. It's never a bad thing to have an extra computer for your car.

I just talked to Ion at Madtuner.com (formerlyMadz28.com) yesterday and he was very nice and helpful. Being my first tune I had a ton of novice ?'s and he answered them all with ease. I will be going with them because they ship fast and its cheaper than PCMforless.

I have a Madtuner tune on my car and could not be happier. Very fast service and everything was exactly what I wanted. But don't think you could go wrong with pcmforless, or Ed at fast chips.

it appears this threads author has made a decision and with no disrespect to that source and others noted, Ed Wright is the "Godfather" of PCM tuning IMHO.

Ed does amazing work ... has done so for me for the last 10 years.
I was there last week with a crazy custom cam with extreme overlap ... he
he had that sucker purring in no time. Last year, I brought him a H/C 350
with what I thought was a pretty good street tune and he STILL managed to find 30hp.

I was not at all impressed with the mailorder tune I got from PCMForless a few years back for my LE H/C 350.
I was even less impressed with the follow-up customer service.
I had to pay a local guy to fix the tune to make it driveable then take it to Ed for a proper tune.

I had one of Ion's tunes on a bolt-on car a few years back .. I have no complaints whatsoever,
but I've never tried one of his tunes on anything radical.

Ed is an extremely busy man, he's in high demand because he does good work.
I've found that email is the best way to get in touch with him, he generally responds within a day or so.
