Question with R valve cover???
First off my car has had a ticking sound which sounds like its coming from right under the rightside valve cover(passanger side). From when it sounds like most likely its a worn or loose rocker but the question i have its when it comes to removing teh cover itself. I already konw about taking the alternator off and the crank case breather...but from what i can see and read it that the trans dipstick tube has to be pull to even think about it. Well i slid under the car today to see where the tube unbolts at but didnt have any luck. My question is how to get that off and do i have to drain the trans fluid before doing this because iv been told i have to.

As already said that tube doesn't need to come off, I've never considered it to be in the way and I've never had to nudge it or anything. With the alternator off you shouldn't have much issue at all pulling that cover out of there.
No, it's not. Even though you don't have to remove that tube... just for future reference, the tube bolts up using the middle trans to engine bolt on the pass. side.
