Spec talked me out of anything higher than their Stage 3 for a planned 500 HP and a decent mix of street/track time. The Stage 5 is going to chatter like hell on the street.

388, afr 210s, 24x/25x cam, 200 shot while I'm on the lt4 manifold, 250-300 on a single plane later, 28x12.50 et streets and skinnies up front, 9" with 4.11 gears. not really worried about the chatter, or flywheel wear on the street, most of the street driving will be on the freeway to the track. Mostly worried about not slipping at the track, because nobody seems to order these, everyone at my power level goes with the street twin setup, but I don't really care about the street manners. Also wondering if this is the kinda clutch i need to put 500 break in miles on, because I'll maybe drive this car twice a week on the street, and it would take 2 months to break in.

Call up Spec, I'd imagine that it has a break in period of at least 300 miles.

Nice set up btw.

thanks man, the AFRs are STILL getting ported.... I'll be down at CMS getting a SD tune and a 4" exhaust built in about 2 weeks.

well good idea, I called spec and they said with the iron friction material there's no real break-in required. They said a few laps around the track parking lot, followed by a few passes with an easy launch would have it seated enough for full race duty.

I broke mine in for a full 500 miles and its great. Drove a friend's Stage 2 that wasn't broken in for more than about 50 miles and it drives like crap.

If you ever make it down to the track in Irwindale, I'll spectate.
