Default What to do with the camaro...

I have a '93 Green Grey Metallic Z28, and I wasn't sure what to do with it... I decided if I got the Resident Assistant job I applied for I would keep it (since i would be saving so much money from school). I got the job, so I kept the camaro. Then I decided since I already had the trans am that I would like to do something different with the camaro... So I started taking it apart.

I've stripped the interior out, and started doing some other stuff (took out the windshield wipers/motors).

I thought I would enjoy having a project to work on from time to time, but what it's turning into is me not having enough time to really do much, and interest in working on an older slower car that is going away, and not wanting to spend money on it... So I'm not really sure what to do now... It's kinda just sitting there... If I could make it a really unique project maybe I could get back into it, but I don't know. Any ideas what I can do to keep myself interested, or what I should do?

Yes, but think of how cool it would be! lol I know that's what I want to do sometime in the future. For now I'll just stick to the good ol' LT1

Throw an LS7 in it. Now that'd be fun. Or just go with full bolt-ons, a bunch of weight reduction, and spray the **** out of it to see how fast you can go without doing any internal motor work.

If we're on the track of spending someone else's cash go for the LS9....GM is selling them at pretty reasonable rates from what I've seen (they're only like $15K, but they come with harness and ECM )

Put a LSx based motor in it if your wanting a project. I have a 93 Gray Green Metallic Z28 with the M29 and I refuse to get rid of the car. I have thought about it many times, but I just can't do it. I've had it for 12 years and have only driven it maybe 5k miles in the last 3. You don't see too many 93 LT1's in GGM. I have an LQ4 and a TH400 just sitting around that I have been thinking about swapping in, but I'm not sure I want to take out the original motor and trans. Just keep it, you'll think of something to do that will keep your interest in the car.

definatly boost and spray it to see how fast it'll go, then when it blows. build a serious forged motor and slap the boost and spray on it

I'd personally throw some boost on it.. but thats just me..

I'm having the same hard time you are with my T/A.

First car I fell in love with. Can't seem to get rid of it but want the 02 ws6 front end conversion.

I figured with my budget I could completely finish my T/A (~$17,000 - I like the LTx motors - low end torque is for me ) and then buy a nice year or 2 old Trailblazer SS as a DD here in about 4 years. In a perfect world, I'd have the built T/A and C6, but then I couldn't afford the sweet house I want or a nice DD

+4 on the turbo. How much power would a stock lt1 make @6 psi? Maybe stock ported heads?

So, my dad talked to me today about maybe wanting to do a "project" with me (weird, because he hasn't wanted to work on a car since he was a kid...). Then he started mentioning rebuilding the engine in the camaro... Are there any reasonable priced options that you can do to an engine when you're rebuilding it (I was thinking stroker or something, but I have no idea)?

He mentioned something about not really liking that it has 137k miles on it, but outside of the drivetrain (which will be replaced eventually) is there much to worry about with it?

Quick Reply: What to do with the camaro...
