Default 1 7/8 headers?

Wheres the best place to find a set of 1 7/8" headers for a 96 Fbody? It has a small block with D port heads and I have been running 1 3/4 Pacesetter headers for the last couple years on it. They have that dumb crimp at the entrance of the tube behind the flange and there just not big enough so i want to put a larger set on.

What setup are you running that you need to have larger than 1 3/4 headers?

i have a set of 2" primary headers, but I had to gorilla glue/ziptie them onto the head because the primary's were too big to allow for bolt holes

Its a 11.1 to 1 406 with profiler 210's ported with a 640/640 252/252 on 108lsa hyd. roller with a super victor and 850 carb.

Most 1 3/4 headers would be fine but on my last build I didn't need much so I bought the cheap pace setter headers and they have a large crimp in the primary tubes just behind the flange and it's retarded at minimum.

I want to put a nice set of coated headers on it anyhow and If I'm gonna spend the money I might as well get the 1 7/8.

Was more or less wondering what lt1 guys were running for larger headers.

not many running stahl adapters... makes big tube headers even harder to fit in the car. I run 1.75-1.875 x 3.5 headers from edelbrock.

I ran stepped LPPs, i believe Hedmans are the best option as well as the edelbrocks

Thanks guy's. FWIW I didn't even know Edelbrock made a half descent set of headers for these (or any other) cars.

I was looking into a header for my 4.0 jeep at one point and time and all there headers looked exactly like the stock manifold but with 40 differn't coating options and were more than double the price of Dyno max long tube header with an off road down pipe that eliminated the cat.

Hey homo if you don't have a part number or a useful opinion, or even a answer to the question such as what are most people running for large tube headers on here then stay out of my threads. Will that be ok? I wasn't being a dick either but I guess it kinda read that way. Oh well.

Maybe if there was an EASY button I'd pass that up too.

Quick Reply: 1 7/8 headers?
