Default Ram air help

Hey guys, i have a 93 TA with a fiberglass 97 twin snorkel factory style hood. Having a big problem finding the pieces to put together the factory style ram air box. I thought about going to the track with the K&N fipk disconected to see if the direct airflow to the TB would would help me pick up some speed. I my have to go to a home made setup which i really want it to look professional or i wont do it. If some one could direct me to a write up on this or a website for the factory box it sure would be appriciated. Thanks.

just use the LS1 WS6 base and lid. If your hood is the WS6 style, it should be a direct shot of air and parts should be pretty easy to find

this is what I did, but now unfortunately gm stopped making the ls1 ws6 base about 2 and a half years ago, so it's going to be kinda hard to find, but will be cheaper than a lt1 ram air base. Yes it is a straight shot of air into the motor, so it is a true cold air intake, and might get a little bit of extra air compared to a k&n cai. Also there will be trimming necessary to get it to fit. You could use a normal ls1 lid and base and it will bolt right on under the hood and not have to clearance anything.

thats what i did. I just used the LS1 stuff. i used the regular Lid and bought the metal ram air duct that goes from the lid between the radiator down to the air dam. works good.

on the bottom of the plastic base i had to sand it down for it to fit on the LT1 crossmember since they differ from the LS1. it didnt sit right. sat too high. other then that it was a direct bolt on.

I used the SLP lid. Then bought a used base from someone on here.

I was not planning on using the enclosed top lid. I want the tru open element ram air through the 97 hood snorkels. Thanks
