Default new best on motor today *update with vids*

Nothing ground breaking or earth shattering but a decent pay off for the work i put into it over the last couple months

Previous old best on motor was
60' 1.74
1/8th 7.856 @89.12
1/4 12.309 @ 109.73

todays new best was
60' 1.674
1/8th 7.654 @90.28
1/4 12.030 @ 111.87

Tried to make a few nitrous passes to see if i could get that 10 second pass I i'm looking for but the track just wasnt there. Tried tire pressure adjustments and window switch adjustments and as soon as the gas came on it'd blow the tires off.

New mods include front lower a-arms, chassis mounted tq arm, ls1 lid and chris1313 ram air and switched from a shark nozzle to a no2 outlet plate kit.

60ft improved by almost a tenth without squeezing it. Congrats. Could have been a high 10 in there, even on a slick track.

Nice runs. Whats the rest of your set up like? What rear and gears you runnig out back? I'd love to be in the 1.6 60ft range.

Yeah I was pretty happy with the motor passes. I was expecting a high 10 with the drop in et on motor just wasnt to be need some more practice with the new suspension stuff and tire pressure.

comp 224/236 xe cam with 1.6 rr's, 58mm tb, ls1 lid and ram air, e waterpump, lt's y-pipe and gmmg, front lower a arms, rear lowers with relos, chassis mounted tq arm, ce 3 ways, pro stars with 275/50/15 mickey dr's, rear is a stock 6 speed rear end with 342's. built 4l60e with whats suppose to be a 2800 vig stall but its much looser than that. nx kit with the supporting goodies

weight removed is !ac, !rear bumper support, speakers, front egg crate, passenger seat, installed vfn bolt on hood, jack and spare (but the bottle is in the car)

I think thats about all I may have missed something though

goddamn...NICE times for a cam only engine. I dont see ported heads listed in your mods. those numbers are VERY VERY nice. 12.030, are you kidding me!? thats nothing to be ashamed of!

I know the 58mm t/b isnt helping you. How is your rad to waterpump clearance with the ls1 lid and E-waterpump? did you have to lean the rad back?

Awesome times i say, the record is something like 11.8 for cam only isnt it? 2 tenths away from that...id be proud!

Who did your tuning? still optispark aswell? Do you run a nitrous tune or do you run 2 tunes? Id like to talk to you more about your car.

Last weekend mine ran 12.317 @ 110.53. It's cam, BBK throttle, long tube headers with a TH400 and S60. Weighs 3500 with me in it. It has 12.20's in it but that about all I expect. My 60's are in the 1.74's.

58mm is staying for sure every lil bit helps. fans are notched to give me some more room to lay the rad back not much at all the just took a corner off one fan maybe and inch or so if that.

I thought the record was way lower than that.

Mayhem motorsports in raleigh,nc did the tuning. Yes still on a regular delco opti. Its on a nitrous tune with some timing pulled out up top. Made 315rwhp with the converter unlocked on the dyno. Ram air isnt very effective there.

The addition of the tq arm and shocks in the rear as well as the weight made a big improvement on mine. I have no idea how much mine weighs the scales weren't working at the track yesterday.

I noticed on one of the passes my car looks like a 4wheel drive truck launching at the track lots of body roll. Would a better rear sway bar fix this?
