There are hidden ones known to the law enforcement agencies. I bought a jeep once and it ended up the vin didn't match the title. I took it to a sheriff's garage and they dropped the gas tank. They knew there was one hidden under there. The deputy told me that they have a book that tells all of the locations for each model.

Nope Im thinking of buying a car that has different doors, glovebox but has the title that matches the vin. The car is a roller and I would like to possibly find other vin numbers on the car. I have personally took my entire car apart and NEVER found another vin on the car. The gas tank has been out and all frame rails have been inspected as well as in the car! NEver once have I seen another vin on our cars. MAybe I missed one, but I doubt it.

GM usually puts a VIN sticker on most body panels.

My Firebird has the VIN stamped in several places. One is the deck above the gas tank under the carpet. A second is under the plastic sill cover on the drivers side. There are probably others.
