Default Good set of headers?

So I'm getting really tired of these BBK shorties. I've broken a new spark plug on both heads because of how tight the engine bay is with these headers and i dont see how I could get them in the engine bay with heads already on unless I take all of the exhaust off and drop them down. I was just trying to get the torque wrench on one of the lower head bolts and ended up pushing the header down which broke the plug. I plan on getting longtubes anyway so are there any headers that make it a little more convenient to work in the engine bay? Or how are you guys getting to the lower head bolts through your headers?

Even though they are spendy, I have Dynatech Ceramic LT's on my car I have to say that they are flawless. They fit perfectly without hitting anything and work great in every way. The only complaint I have is the fact that you have to buy the collectors seperately and fit them over the primaries and bolt them on. Otherwise they are really great headers.

I liked my Hooker longtubes as well and the coating did burn off too. I switched to Kooks which are pretty nice.

i got them so many years ago but i think 2231-1hkr? but i'm sure it's still the same. 1 3/4 longtube 3" had no problems getting to plugs well just one the same one evryone has a issue with but swivel sockets help or a wrench on the plug socket.i ran my wires up over the tubes then down to the opti much easier and cleaner looking, think that's why i never had an arc issue.

Christ, they make headers for about every other type of car, except LT1 V8. They look nice, though.

For the $$, I've always been impressed with Kooks for the LTx/LSx platforms, and Doug's for gen I sbc and bbc.

Ive had my Jet-Hot long tubes since 2001 and they still look good. Coating is still on and have a lifetime warranty on them. Only thing I dont like is the slip fit pipe is starting to leak

LPP headers seem to be nice. I remember they were all the rage two or three years back. Not sure if he is currently producing them, though.

I got my hooker super comps brand new for 250$. Easy as hell to install. Coating peeled off like every one elses, only took like 4-5 months -_-

Quick Reply: Good set of headers?
