I got mine from aldlcable.com. It set me back about $65 shipped. And yeah, don't pay for TunerPro RT, it's completely free. I'd also be hesitant about using some cable from a dude on ebay. Seems like a great way to fry a PCM.

PCM/ECM refer to the same thing, Us older guys say ECM because the tranny wad not usually computer controlled. Some even say ECU they are the same thing.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Tuner pro will allow you to log anf change the bin, but not flash it to the ECM/BCM. You'll need Winflash to flash the puter.

The PCM in a 94LT1 car is an OBD1, which cannot be tuned while running. The car must be shut off and the ignition on. Your laptop will upload a file to the PCM, but it is a total rewrite or flash. Unlike OBDII which can be written on one piece at a time while operating, the OBDI can only accept a total rewrite. If the flash goes wrong, your PCM is fried. There is a lot more about how to do this properly around the internet and this forum. Just make sure you read as much as possible before messing with your PCM. I have flashed mine 8 or 10 times using tunercats without frying it. I didn't attempt anything till I read as much as possible, I would recommend the same.
