converting sbc heads to lt1 heads? I know this has been asked before I just wanted some input. I can get a set of sbc Afr 227 heads p/n 003-1121 for very cheap almost stealing cheap. Is it worth converting them to lt1. Also I have a all forged and studed 355 that is turbo Charged but i can get the afr's for 800 bucks.I know they sell them in lt1 form but they are over $2000

Those are amazing heads, but are not meant for a small street combo so it depends how aggressive your turbo build is. They have some nice big chambers though, so it may drop your CR and allow you to run more boost and make even more power.
Figure ~400 for the conversion, so you'll have around 1200 in them which is still a steal.
I would definitely get them, but if your build is just an 8-10psi modest street car then you won't be taking advantage of them.

It will see alot of the track and some street. I just went and picked up the heads I will post some pics when I have a chance.the guy even gave me some new sheet metal valve covers with them.
