new 1/4 personal best for my lt1
Took my slug out to lapeer yesterday. Was pretty dang warm. 88 to 90 degrees with about 60 % humidity. 3380 DA.
Still tuning the car myself and am getting it close . Still needs some fueling corrections. I played with the timing from 32 to 34 and it didn't really matter. Still a bit lean.
Went 10.96 at 124 on motor only a 1.54 sixty. That's my personal 1/4 mile best but not my eighth. The car has been 6.77 to the eighth with a 1.45 sixty on motor in some much better air and track conditions. The eighth mile on the 10.96 was only a 7.04 at 99. It was spinning a bit but not much. Way way to much heat in the track and they didn't prep it cause there was only 7 cars out at the old dump. I attached a couple pics of the track. It's quite a hole in the wall lol
Basic rundown
95z28 quasar blue car.
Motor is a 12 year old 383
LE1 gm heads
Cam is .550 valve lift , 230 duration at .050 on a 112 lsa from comp
Stock gm unported intake
Pump e85
factory 95 ecu with a 12 year old delco opti as well lol tuned by myself in speed density
Over the radiator cold air intake
Csr water pump
Lpp headers into a 3 inch X pipe that goes into some 12 inch bullets that dump at the rear end
Fti nitrous converter
3.89 gear and 275 radial
The car is completely set up for nitrous with the gearing and tight converter, with a fogger on it. I'm gonna spray it next time I go out hopefully. I forgot the bottle at home . I'm pretty happy with how it ran in the heat . Pretty curious to see how it does on motor with some cooler air , I'm almost 3 tenths slower to the eighth In this warm air them I was last fall on motor.
Also does a head wind affect a cars et? There was a steady 25 to 30 mph head wind .
Anyways thanks for looking.
Shitty videos cause my camera person is special .

That car is moving Kyle! I thought my camera man was bad... sheesh
Little LE1 heads, stock intake, and a 230s hydraulic roller going 10.9 in the heat is IMPRESSIVE!!
It really feels good when all the hard work pays off at the track.. I know that car has been a handful of problems for you, more so than mine was for me. Cant wait to see some cooler air times at a nice track!

Hey man lapeer is a nice track! Not. That place is disgusting.
I think lapeer took #1 in the shittiest track in North America on yellow bullet lol.
Thanks for the kind words. It's nice to have 7 passes that were all solid and no issues

Ya there ******** in the back are a 1 inch thick wooden box with a hole cut out so you can **** in it lol.
Ya lol its a dump. The return road has cones all over it because of the culvert collapsing
Thanks butch. I feel pretty confident there's another couple tenths just In the heat . Needs some more tuning. I would be pretty happy with a low 10.80 in the heat. It's been 6.77 in the eighth at 620 da.
Some cool air and she will be rolling hopefully !

Love it. Dirt cheap and makes great power. I run a hot plug and run it fat, I'm still getting the afr dialed in. When it was on a dyno over the winter tuning, I had an issue with it that I later found and corrected and it was a little over a point lean on the gas scale so I'm just trying to dial it in now.
Kind of hard to throw an oxygenated high dollar gas in it when this stuff is highly oxygenated and runs pretty consistent
