CAI Or Ram Air?
Which would I gain more horspower out of?
A CAI or the SS ram air box.
With the SS ram air box it sits right over the intake (which I would assume would soak up some heat)But it is force fed.
But the CAI isnt really force fed but I am sure it wouldnt soak up so much heat.
Which is better do you think?

My formula gets pretty warm intake temps from the ram air. (sun beating on the hood). But after driving for about 15 to 20 minutes the temps do come down close to ambient temperatures.

I made a CAI where the inlet is infront of the front tire. It picks up the air off the road. It's not as hot as the engine compartment, and I did the Throttle Body Bypass. When I get off the highway and put my hand on the Throttle Body, it is cold, real cold. Can't get much better than that...

a ram air intake is not 'force fed', that is a gimmick. Intake air pressure cannot be increased at normal driving speeds. That said it really doesn't matter, either one will make more power. Getting rid of the stock restrictive intake is the important thing.

It's actually more like 200 mph before it will be very noticeable, but I suppose it could have a very small effect at slower speeds.
At lower speeds however, its still functional, but you are just very unlikely to feel any significant difference.
