Wow! You people have not heard of this car? I had lunch with Shon on Saturday. Car weighs 3100 lbs with driver. No nitrous. Full Boltons, stock cam and heads. This car holds the LT1 bolt on record of 11.8@114.

1997 Z28 T-top M6 3100ish RW with 240# driver (Russ). Moser 12bolt 4.33s/spool.
Spohn Adj TA, Drag Bar, Herron Performance LCA/PHR/Tuning, Hooker Headers and y-pipe. BMR K-member, U/L A-arms, Warrior Rims, 1 seat, alt relocated, 1 12" fan, 4" pin on cowl hood, !interior, !HVAC, SJM !ABS/LL, LW Battery, LT4 Springs/locks/retainers with Pro Mag SA 1.6RRs, APC Steering wheel, !Air bags, EWP, CAI, 52mmTB, solid motor mounts. (if I left anything out it was not on purpose.)

The 11.80 pass was made with a Spec Stage III disk but stock PP/TOB<--not a good set up. It doesnt have enough clamping force.

The M6 will be replaced with a T-braked TH350 and 4-4500 stall.

Engine will be replaced with a new bullet, after the 11.80 pass it started having terminal issues, rod bearings have determined to be unhappy.

I will either put a stock short block in it and go run some 11.60s OR more than likely do a cam/stock heads thing and run 10.9s, it will be over 100#s lighter once it hits the track again, which will not be anytime soon.

FYI-no clue the amount of power making it to the rear tires, it was to be on the dyno/WBO2 this month but due to the rod bearings being a bit fragile it will not make it.

Also, the 11.80 pass was 3/25/06 at Carolina Dragway in Jackson, SC.

Damnit!!!! Sorry to hear of your misfortune, Shon. I hope you go back with stock longblock and get that 11.5 and then to TH350 for some sub 11.50s..With a freshened LT1, 100lbs lighter, and a tune, I don't see why 11.5-11.6 aren't attainable. Good luck.

Heh, I keep thinking about buying some lightweight parts from Herron Performance and smoking Shon's record. Lol. I'mma building the car first, and if I dont have any cash left over for badass motor, I'll toss in stocker and run it!

Russ' Pro Shifted 6 speed>Shon's t-braked th350.
