Yup, the front ones fit no problem. That was pissing me off yesterday. I just did suspension and got these new wheels and it's all i needed to drive the car again lol! Can I just use a metal file and take care of that? I don't have a dremel or anything..

You'll have too use a high speed drill of some sort the file will take too long i used a cardbite bit and a drill for it and it cut it really good was done in like ten minutes with it, then i went back and used a sandpaper wheel too finish it up. But no matter what the lip has too come completely off for them too fit on

I know this is a really old thread but I ran into the same problem on my lt1 last night putting on the ten spoke ls1 ss wheels on. Would a drill and a wire metal cup brush be enough to shave theback lip down? It says 'for aggressive metal cutting' but I don't know if a cup brush would be strong enough. Any insight?

Weird you guys had to use dremels n such. I put OEM 10 spoke SS wheels on my moms 95Z and it took MAYBE 30 seconds each wheel with a regular file. Maybe the ZR1's are require more grinding.

That's what I have...the oem ten spokes. They almost fit but not quite enoug to get the lugnuts on properly. If you used a file I assume a wire cup brush should do the trick? Would it matter that the tires are 285s?

No 285's should fit just fine. Im not sure if a wire wheel cup brush on a drill would do it. there meant more for cleaning up surfaces not removing material. If you have a file it wont take you long at all.

Ok fair enough. It just seems like itd be difficult to do the center of the back of the wheel with a file. The outside lip could be angled but I don't know how you'd file the center of the hub.

I Guess I should have said a rounded edged file (one side is flat the other side is rounded). Just file around the Hub hole evenly removing small amounts until the wheels fit.
