Default I want YOUR expert opinion.

OK car wont start, hasnt in 6 months. Im just now worrying about it..SEpt 1st it died on me and sputtered out and hasnt started since. We determined its a fuel problem; the car has a ton of spark. The fuel pump is brand new and still makes the swishing sound. After compressing the schrader valve its been determined that its just air coming out not fuel. So it possibly there is a kink in a line? Something is clogged? The fuel filter is new pretty much but Ill be replacing it anyways. Now the gas has been sittin in the car for months but I have put in some winter additive. Tomorrow Im gonna get my lazy but to it and put in some fresh gas and see what happens. I know this seems more like a story than question but experienced ones, what is going on with my fuel system??

Do you mean it's building pressure, but when you pushed the schrader valve down, it hissed with only air? If that's the case, then I would say that you have no gas in the tank. Did you do the 'hole in the hatch' method when replacing your pump? I'd say pull the pump assembly back out and inspect that all the lines are still on and secure. Should be a pretty easy problem to find/fix. The fuel system is pretty simple.

Sounds like it's out of gas, either that or it's not picking up the gas at the pump.

sounds like a fuel pump problem, they can keep spinning but the little rotor if u will that acctually feeds that gas can break away from the motor that spins it, to make a long story short u need a fuel pump! AND NO U CANT JSUT CUT A HOLE IN THE FLOOR PAN!!!!!!

Disconnect the fuel line at the fuel filter. Turn the key to the "on" position and see if fuel squirts out from the line.

I believe he is talking about the access panel above the pump housing.

good call

I would just go through everything taking one step and a time and single out the problem by starting here.
