Okay here it goes again. I know that this topic has been previously discussed, but i cant seen to find it. Like i have said the prev owner converted the int/ext to the 98. The only thing that i know about the original panels is that it had tan leather interior the T/A wing and the side skirts. All of the emblem were removed and the center piece on the taillights has been replaced with the V6 piece. The prev owner tried telling me that it was a Firehawk but i couldnt see in their right mind would hack up that kind of car. Upon looking up the Vin # it comes up Formula/Trans Am/GT. I have the original glove box with the original codes in it but it all looks foreign to me. All i am really wanting to know is what package the car came with factory and also what rearend i have. If anyone can direct me where to look or if they just know what codes mean what of their head and can tell me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot

WU6 is apparently the Firehawk RPO, according to a quick google that is.

It seems there's no better place than http://www.firehawk.com
http://firehawk.com/article/1352.html that's the build #s for 93

well i just looked my rpos up and it said WS9 model conversion, Formula. Did some of these come with a T/A wing, and the side skirts. My car actually has the holes in the rocker panel from the factory for the clips. And also it said that my original exterior color was dark red. My original color in the engine bay and under the carpet is a metallic green. Whats up with that. And also there are like 15 of my codes not on there.

ALL T/As come with WS9. WS9 = Formula. All T/As start life as a Formula, thus they all have WS9.

Also one of my RPO s i could not find (1SA) this does show on the firehawk website as an option package. it says they did 2 of them. The website also has my paint code as (48) as dark green and not red like GMs RPOs says it is, the firehawk site says they did 18 of these. It also has two other codes on there. (8TH and 9TH) they both say component RR RH computer sel susp; whatever that means. It also has a code (V73) that are only supposed to be on 97-2000 firebirds and it means vehicle certification US.And this one code that id doent sow what it means (Y83) but it shows that there are 3 that have registered there car with this RPO so far. Im really confussed now

lol maybe the previous owner swap the glove boxes without changing the code sheets. You can also copy your vin and take it to a gm dealer and get the options your car came with i think lol.

Edit just read you panels were tan and were swap with the 98 plus models so now they are probably dark right which would mean that the glove boxes rpo codes would possible be wrong. Some F-body's came with the rpo codes on the doors check there if not try a dealer they might help.

Well i started to think the same thing so i went and grabed my insurance card and the vins match. But the thing that i cant figure out the most is that when i got on a f-body RPO page, RPO 48U shows that my car is dark red, but when i checked the RPO on the Firehawk website they listed that my car is dark green. Drk green is the color that is in my engine bay and under the carpet. Kinda wierd

48U : PRIMARY COLOR EXTERIOR, DK RED (91)
I believe (91) means 1991.

Your best bet, as said is to compare the vin in the dash, on the door sticker and in the glove box and make sure they all match. Then take in the one off the dash to the GM dealer and tell them you want a print out on all the options it came with. I know Dodge dealers can go back to 91 (my friend got a print out for his Diesel).

Take the vin# to any Gm Dealer and they can print out ALL the factory options for your specific car. Then you can check them against the glove box. My GM catalog for 93 (48U) = Dk Yellow Green Met.

Yea the firehawk says Drk Green. I called them today and they said that 93 was the only year that they dont have any type of computer record for the ones that were made. He told me to go to the firehawk association and see if they can bring my vin # up because they have paper documentation of all the one made.
