your coolant level sensor is bad. Its right below the fill cap on the radiator. It helps to take your battery out to get better access.

have you changed your coolant recently? make sure you have no air bubbles in your system. to do that, take the cap off when the car is cold, and run it... till it starts to get hot (boiling coolant)

Yeah I'm having the same problem with my '95 Z28. That light bothers the crap out of me when I take my car on long distance drives. It bothers me the most at night when I have my interior lights dimmed, it's the only one that blindes the hell out of me. How could I get it to cut off?

All you have to do is disconnect the low coolant sensor wich is found under the radiator cap. but its at your own risk, if you have a coolant leak you wont know its low, best way to fix it by replacing low coolant sensor if its faulty.

The sensor is about $50.00 or more at the dealer. I think it is a dealer only part. I happen to have a brand new one. I'll let it go for $30.00 + shipping.

I paid just under $40 with shipping at http://vandevere.com/.
Some things I just don't want to compromise - I want to know right away if the coolant level drops. Like what was mentioned here - remove the battery, drop the coolant level a little and its a quick swap. You can have your tools out and put away in 30 minutes.
