I do not think that would work for an lt1. First of all the headers are not designed for the D-port openings in the lt1 heads, also i am pretty sure there isn't enough room in our engine bay for the turbos in the location that kit puts them. That is a pretty good price considering what you get. But it will need reworked to fit your car.

i would not mess with it!
you have far too many options to try and deal with a kit designed for a 3rd gen.
the price is nice though!

yea you are pretty much just going to use: waste gates, turbos, and intercooler. you will need to mock everythimg else up. I would reccomend going from scrtach because those turbos probably wont do you any good and will mess up more stuff on your engine when the blow

yes, but it would take quite a bit of work.

I think you should purchase it and let us know how it goes. There has to be something out there for us LT1 guys that want turbos.

the intercooler is tiny, and i dont think the hacking it would take on the manifolds would be worth it IMO

I've always wanted to do a turbo setup but I can't fathom spending $4K. This kit is cheap in comparison, but too bad it's for a turd gen. You all think it could work "more easily" if you get those other headers they sell that exit in the front and just re-do the piping? Both the headers they sell are not D-port, but does it honestly matter?

What other kits are available for the LT1? All I know is PTK and STS.

OFI (Ohio Forced Inductions) is probly the best out right now, if I had the coin and wanted a street setup thats where I would head.

youll, spend more money making that work then its worth. i have a friend that got something similar to that and tried to make it work for his lt1 and ended up spending more money on a supercharger later. thats just my 2 cents

To do a turbo right generally costs a lot more than 4k for anything but the STS kit.

I have less than 4k in my setup and it's done right. Ball bearing T76, with RealQuick's hot parts, FMIC, silicone cuplers, t bolt clamps, and braided oil lines.

Interesting, is it a custom kit and did you fab it yourself? You can certainly save money that way but not everyone could go that route.

Im positive I could do another kit similar to Skinnies kit and get it done for less than 3k...

But you have to know what your doing and be able to do the work yourself..
