I got frustrated looking for the metric plugs and ended up forcing in some standard plugs with a little jb weld for good measure. I called every hardware and auto parts store in my area and no one carried anything that large in metric sizes.

I just recently did this and I couldn't find a metric plug anywhere. Checked out Lowes, Home Depot, Advance Auto, and Ace hardware. I ended up getting a standard brass plug with a square head from Ace hardware. I cross-threaded it in with RTV on the threads. It felt like it wasn't even cross-threading cause it went in soothly.

I can't remeber now. I took one of the air fittings in the hardware store and bought the one that was closest in size.

I've seen it done on a friend's car. It didn't leak to my knowledge. I never did this mod, I've had LT's for a long time.

3/4's if I remember correctly. Take the air tube with you.

I couldn't find a bolt wide enough. Anything that large is considered a pipe plug.

Very nice ones on ebay, I recently got some for less than $12.00 shipped.
Search there on "air system block off plugs".
