Default Simple LT and tune?

With longtube headers, ORY, and a tune, is the LT4 knock module necessary? I know with longtubes the LT1 will run rich and then pull timing, so people buy the LT KM, but if i get my car tuned, would it become a useless part, or do I still need to pick it up?

I ran leaner with the LT's, not richer.

The LT4 KM is good to have even with a tune for various reasons. For one, the tuner wouldn't have to nearly turn the knock tables to zero to get rid of false knock, and potentially destroy the car if it really does get knock.

hmm, not a bad idea, any performance benefit form it or just safety/reliability? also, Ralls, why did you go 3.42 over 3.73? did you have 2.73s? big difference in gain? I am debating on 3.42 or 3.73 because with the 3.42s I wouldn't lose that much mileage...

Only performance gained would be if your currently getting false knock and the module gets rid of it.

I went to 3.42s because of the gas mileage and it was cheap since I got the whole assembly from a M6. Yes, I did have 2.73s stock, so going to 3.42s was a big leap. If my car came with 3.23s, I would of went to 3.73s because there wouldn't of been that much of a difference with 3.42s. Now my car is no longer the daily driver, so 3.73s may be in the future.

Yeh but the 3200 stall pretty much eliminates that.
