Default Got longtubes in

I finaly got my pacesetter coated headers in. Ive got a catted Y pipe on there. The thing sounds much better. I havent had a chance to drive it yet as I have to get a few things to get it to connect to the rest of the exhaust. But wow those headers were a pain to install. I found it easyest to take off both valve covers and go in from the top. Do they give a decent gain in performance? Also anyone know how the oil pressure sensor stays on on the 93's? It got knocked off and I cant get it back on.

LT headers do give quite a bit as far as performance is concerned. Most people will see 3- 4 tenths off of their 1/4 mile times.

you wont be able to use the oil sending unit. the unit will fit in but you cant hook it up because it will hit the header im not for sure but i looked into it and went to autozone and compared it with a unit from a 88 305 truck and it had the same thread and every thing the only difference is it is shorter which is what you need to clear the header.

I'm using my stock one. It fits, but it's close. It hasn't burnt in the 5k since the LTs went on.

Well I just took it for a road test today since i had to get some stuff to make the exhaust work. WOW it gave quite a bit of extra power from what I can feel plus the sound it SOOO much better with the hooker catback.

Longtubes are a great performance investment. full exhaust, sticky meat, and gears can make a car feel totally different! congrats!

Good to hear. So I'm guessing the y-pipe fit nicely? No problems right?

Yeah the Y pipe worked perfectly. Just went through some heat cycles and retightened everything. It was a lot of work to get em it but it was well worth it.

I went from manifolds and loudmouth to pacesetter long tubes and magnaflow. HUGE difference. My only regret was not being smart enough to get it done sooner.

hp gains = guaranteed.

Ive got to slip the drivers side of the Y pipe on a little better since it hits on the floor of the car but thats no big deal. But man it sounds and feels like a diffrent car.
