also I beleive he recomends reving the le3s to 6500+ so look into thang and decide where you wat your motor to be at. and do not quote me on this but I beleive the $1600 price is only a 100 saving vs brande new. If i remember correctly loyd claims 430rwhp with a 58mm throtle body 4.10 gears 1.6 rockers longtube headers and a full exhaust. and I have heard absolutly nothng bad about loyds work or customer service.

LT1-LE3
Heads & cam package will pull from 2,600–6,800 RPM and should make *410 - 430 RWHP
with 36/42 lb. injectors, 58 MM T.B. or Monoblade, GOOD tuning, etc. This will idle similar
to the GM847 but make about 10 more HP at peak and starts making HP sooner than the
GM847. Requires 4.10 gears & 3,000 (or more) stall for best results.
The LT1 LE3 heads consist of:
Larger valve seats installed in Heads
2.05/1.60 Valves
Comp Bee Hive Springs
Titanium Retainers & 10° Locks
208 CC Intake Port
Milling, Cleaning, Assembly
Flow About 280/195
cm retainers & 10 degrees locks
Bronzeliners
Ready to bolt on
LE3 Head/Cam Package - $2,050 plus shipping. $1,700 for Heads only.

if you can get him to 1500 or lower and plan on building your car to rev 6800+ i would deff jump on it but if your plans are only to rev to 6500 like I am I would continue to look. and also I will be more than happy to help out a fellow f-body guy and pass around the deals granted I cant use them lol. the le3 package is nice but will require a lil work to take full advantage of. what is your over all goal for your car if you dont mind me asking?

i want a strett strip car.looking for a high 11's on motor and somewhere in the 10's with that 150 shot. i dont care about the rev being high as long as i dont blow the motor. i just want the best bang for the buck.im looking to spend 2k and thats hopefully including the cam also even if i got to get a custom cam. maybe 2500.00 but would like to do 2000.00. i was even thinking of just getting a custom cam that can get me into low 12's on motor then hopefully low 11's on the 150 shot. do you think its poss. having a nice gear, tune, suspen. i have a 96ta cai,l/t headers,adj.t/q arm,adj.lca,adj.phb and im going to get some drag shocks. what do you think im open to all ideas. i just want to spend the least amount " if poss. "

I personaly havnt broken out of the 13's yet. but from everything i have read it isnt unheard of to break into the 11's with an ai 200cc heads and cam package with full bolt on Ie 1.6 roller rockers cold air intake long tube headers off road y pipe a good cat back drag radials lower control arms a good pan hard bar and a set of sub frame connectors as well as a tune. the gearing depends mainly on if your and auto or manual. the common suggestion is 4.10 for manual and 373 for an auto. also if you add in an aluminum or carbon fiber driveshaft you can probly help your times a good bit. but I must reinforce this is strickyl from research and not from my own experiences. from my own experiences with pacesetter longtube headers a 160 thermo lower control arms a pand hard bar subframe connectors and a raceweight of 3800 lbs and street tires I personaly have only been able to pull a 13.70 1/4 mile time with a 2.6 60 foot. hopefully this will help btw I am a 6 speed 3.23 geared car.

out of all my upgrades so fanbeside my sound system the one i have enjoyed the most was the lower control arms and pan hard bar as well as the subframe connectors. my next uprgrades stickly because it is a realy good price is a supercharger but it will not be installed until until my 383 forged 9.1 compression motor is finsished. and in the way of heads I am going to ry porting them myself and installing 2.06 intake valves and 1.96 exhaust valves. I will be doing a lot of bowl work and some intkae / head blending. there is a local engine builder that is a family friend who will toss them on a flow bench and then I will ask him loyd and the guys at adnavced induction for advice on a cam.

thats is a perdy close deadline. all I realy can say is that reasearch is your friends and there is absolutly no shame in tried and true configurations. are weight reductions part of your plan? if so aluminum lower control arms and pan hard bars will help as well as cromoly k member and strange drag brakes. they may be a bit costly but any time you can remore weight from the front of a drag car deff do it. especialy because weight transfer a well as being light in generaly is always a plus. also brakes will be a nice upgrade for everyday driving as well as 1/4 mile times and high speed bursts on the freeway
