The stock heads won't flow enough so you will need to port the heads to get the most out of that cam. If you don't port the heads, the cc503 would be the biggest cam you would want to use.

I love mine, but my tranny took a crap right after my motor was broke in so I never really got to see what it really pulled like. But I have LE3 heads, 1.6 rocker arms, hooker LTs, Xpipe, and 2.5 ture duals. I would deffinatley do ported heads with the cam, but then you might want to just get a custom ground cam IMO

You will need to have the car tuned and gears would help. This cam has alot of overlap in it and cam surge is something your going tro have to get used to.

I am running it in my car on stock heads. The car makes good power, pulls reals strong, and makes good power. It does have some cam surge, but nothing a dyno tune wont help with. The car definately would benefit a lot from some heads, but all in all I like the cam.

prove it. why does everyone think any cam over 225 degrees is bad for stock heads? if you want a mild daily driver, no the cc306 will not be for you. if you're a street/strip favoring strip the cc306 will be faster, when properly set up, than a cc503.

Heres a vid of mine going down the track. Ive got true duals with an x-pipe and no mufflers dumped at the rear axle. My time wasnt to great, but it was the first time at the track in over 2 years. I had a terrible 60 ft(2.2), couldnt get the thing to hook and was on street tires. The mph is definately there for a high to mid 7 if I can get it out of the hole. I just need some nice drag radials and it will hit 7's no problem. This is an 1/8 mile btw, and I was short shifting it.

Thanks man, just need some better tires Maybe someone on here will have a better quality vid of their 306. I know the cam is "old technology" by everyones standards, but it still runs great, sounds great, and makes the car fun as hell to drive. Im just waiting till I get it on the dyno to hook my spray back up
