Default will i hit the 12's?

Hey guys sorry another thread about this but here goes, so im going to be getting some things for my car very soon and i want to know if ill hit the 12's. Im going to get kooks emission legal long tubes with a catted y pipe and slp loudmouth exhaust. Im also looking to do a six speed swap and either 3.73 or 4.10 gears. Also im going to get strano springs and probably koni shocks or whatever strano recommends. Ill also get a panhard bar and some other suspension peices i haven't looked into all of that yet. Im gonna get some MT drag radials and a CAI also. I have a buddy with a 67 mustang he is running 13.0's at like 108 and he talks alot of **** so i want to shut him up. Thanks guys

your gonna be in the 13's...your gonna need more than that to hit 12's.

i would say more than that or my car is just slow. my mods currently are moroso cai, bbk throttle body, bbk shorties w/stock y with cats, flowmaster, madz28 tune, moser 12 bolt with 4.10s and mt dr i ran an 8.85 on a crappy track with bad air. that is about a 13.6 according to the calculator, oh yeah and some weight reduction

I could see real high 12's full weight if you can drive and if you can hook. I would look into LCA's, LCA Relocation Brackets, a Panhard, and maybe a Torque Arm. I would also maybe consider a tune as well.

If you went with an ORY and got a tune, I could see you pulling a real high 12, on a perfect run, if you got 4.10's. But, that'd still be a very tough achievement.

It will take more than an intake and an exhaust to run a 12 with a lt1.A cam will definitely get you there though.

Why not build your auto with a shift kit and stall? It would be just as fast if not faster than a 6 speed set up.

Whatever you do dont forget the tune to tie it all together.

With my mods in my signature I ran at best a 13.7 and my third gear was gone kept bouncing off rev limiter. Now i got a rebuilt tranny with Shift Kit and i cant wait to get to the track. I guess i got a healty LT1!! You need more than the mods you have listed to hit 12's.

WIth some good driving you should hit the 12s... fiberglass doors/hood/hatch anyone? =P

.4 ths and Ill be in the 12s with a CAI and a Catback... stock gears, street tire, full weight, etc... Im sure you will be high 12s with all that with a good 60ft...

With your list mods, I would add a good cold air kit, rear lca's, a good mail order tune or dyno tune. Make sure the motor is in good health for all the mods. Personally, if all you're wanting at this time is to get into the 12's, I would just stick w/the 4l60e trans and add 3200 rpm stall. Along w/ the list of mods of choice---should be no problem hitting 12's. You don't need the shocks for now. Spend the money elsewhere.

all you need is cold *** weather lmao (12.96 stock converter, 3.23s on nitto drags witnessed by PSJ many moons ago)

the strano springs and koni shocks aren't ideal for drag racing

as was mentioned, lca's and brackets, 4.10s (w/ 6spd), headers/exhaust and some drag radials will get you close at least

id go for an lt4 hot cam, the 6 speed swap is unnecessary because the autos are just as fast. And then just get some spray and you should hit 12's

My bolt on + hotcam car with a stock stall and 3.42 gears hit a 12.7... 1.9 60' -_-

sick! im aiming for low 12s high 11s with a CPT built 700r4 and stall+gears..

but my new heads are coming in a week or so, so maybe ill get low 12s as is.. hmm.. i need money

so what cam do you guys think would work for me? This car is mydaily driver and i have to pass emissions here in arizona. How much does it cost to get my auto built and add a stall to it?
