As you said, it's subjective. I personally run the Morel SR lifters, which are holding up great so far on a ~250-duration / .660"-lift blower cam. These are the only lifters I've used, so they're really the only ones I can comment on.

(Endurex sounds like a brand of condom. Sorry, had to say it. I'm sure they're decent lifters.)

Prolonged low-RPM oiling has always been an issue, so I would research into that before you make your decision -- especially if this car is to be street driven. Isky RedZone and Crower SD (HIPPO) come to mind.

I would have gone with Crowers is Motorville carried them, but I ended up getting Endurex lifters. Haven't run them yet but when I asked the same question a few people at the time had good experiences with them. HIPPO is important

Depends where and if you have a hook up. I got them through my builder for $420ish. Comp Endurex (888-16) Crower cut-a-ways will cost a lot, about $600 IIRC.

I run Crane's, got close to 7k-ish miles on them on my 396...cam is roughly 25x/26x dur .63x lift on a 112lsa. I would like to get some Isky's or Crower's with the high-pressure pin oiling(HIPPO), and if I had the bling I'd go with a set of Schubeck Roller X lifters.

That doesn't sound too bad. I've got a couple hook-ups, I can try. Since someone already mentioned it...How do you get away from the low-rpm oiling problem, and still run SR lifters? Depends on valvetrain? Or is that the nature of a SR setup?

You make sure you have a MINIMUM of 30-35 psi hot idle oil presure, mine idles at 1200 rpm with 35 psi hot.

Schubecks on the street, not proven, besides he went **** up.....out of business.

I run Isky Red Zones and the only gripe I have with them is due to the extra oiling holes there is a pressure loss of around 10psi across the board.

What about the new morels that just came out and work on solid or hyd roller I saw that JS was in the thread earlier checking them out. And does anyone have a hook up that could help me get some? Thanks

Either run a high volume pump w/ a pan to accomodate or you can go with oil restrictors either in the block or buy oil restricting pushrods. I have OR pushrods in my engine now and at hot idle it's at 17psi, but the gap widens once rpm climbs. I'm not sure what idle pressure you absolutely need or that is required. I'm running a mild solid roller cam and this oil pressure seems to be doing fine even in traffic conditions.
