cam specs: need help

cam specs: need help
ok i jus recently bought a reed performance cam/ lifter set. i've called the manufacturer of the cam and the only info they can give me is a cam card. i'm looking to know whats the minimum compression ratio, stall, gears, etc i can run to recieve good performance out of this cam.
cam card:
Serial # K8477
Engine application :SBC
Grind number : SRA290/294-8A3
Adv. duration intake : 290 Adv. Duration exhaust:294
duration @ .050 intake :256 duration @ 050 EX. :260
Valve lift intake :.660 Valve lift exhaust :.663
Lobe separation : 108 Intake centerline102
Lash setting intake : .020 exhaust :.024 Timing events @ .020

can anyone on here be of any help?

Where did you get the cam?
If it's a custom grind, the person who speced it owes you some info.
If it's an off-the-shelf grind, you should be able to call the manufacturer with questions.
I didn't find either half of that grind number with a google search or in Comp's database.

This would be a dedicated race only cam in a 383+ci 7000rpm+ motor with aftermarket engine management.
The RPM range from most cam grinders is off when applied to the LT1 because of what our intake manifold does to powerband, the ultra short runners move peak power a few hundred rpms higher than it would be with a gen 1 intake.
Even with big displacement you are going to want a 8" 4000+ non-lockup race converter like an ATI and gears willdepend on tire size.
Going to guess this is not atall what you had in mind.
Why don't you tell us what is done to the car already and what you expect to get out of it.

oh yea i knew it wasn't for a lt based motor but i figured i'd get more help with the topic if i posted it in here, i'm actually putting it in a 434 Gen1 stroker engine.

With that much displacement, that cam is gonna peak around 6250 rpm.
A 4000 stall and 3.73 would probably work just fine, depending on the weight and intended purpose of the vehicle.
(more stall and gear if it's race-only)
Probably end up shifting it in the mid-7000s and you'll be flyin'.
Should be good for 650 or so at the wheels with the right setup
And now that I go back and look at your original post, I see that you did in fact specifiy SBC.

the vehicle will be a round body(94-02) s10 so its not exactly what you would call heavy but then again its no fox body or mustang coupe either. i'm hoping for it to be more a street strip vehicle with mostly strip power and that's around the power range i'm hoping for off the bottle but i'll always have a little go go juice for when its time to put up or shut up lol.
the guy that owned the cam before me ran it in a 383 breathing though a set of highly ported and polished 305 heads, w/ a 250 shot. putting the power to the ground w/ a 3200 stall and 3.73 gears. in a fox body the car went 4.20's at a 500ft track.

Weiand Team G? I would buy the 227cc intake runner heads from AFR or the CNC Dart Pro 1's. The cam would run ok, but is far from optimal for the application. I would also retard this cam 6 degrees if you do decide to run it, as TQ will not be lacking. The cam looks big, mean, and nasty, but that is only the lift of the cam fooling you. The duration of the cam is kinda small considering the cubic inches of the engine.

I agree with the 4k stall. it will put in in the power range decently.
What trans are you going to be using? That might help with guys on the gears but most likely be 3:73's if you still wont to get ok gas mileage
