Default Removing clutch pedal spring when installing TICK MC?

I reading through the instructions provided with the TICK MC, and they recommended removing the spring that is on the clutch pedal assembly for a better feel and quicker engagement of the clutch. Wondering how many of you guys have done this and what your thoughts are?

I left my spring on and it still feels awesome, any guys left it on then took it off? Curious to see if there is a difference?

left mine on when I first installed it. Then installed an LS7 clutch and adjusted the pedal. While I was up there I removed the spring. Not much of a difference, felt great either way.

I left mine in place when I swapped mine - I'll just wait until it comes flying off and see how I like it after it does

all the spring does is pull the pedal up a little higher.

Just talked with Joey @ Tick about removing the spring. He said to absolutely remove the spring. That the Tick MC wasn't designed to have that spring pressure on it like the factory unit was. I'll be pulling mine off.

What do they mean by "wasn't designed to have that spring pressure on it like the factory unit was"?

I don't know exactly. I imagine that their MC wasn't designed to have the pedal with a tension on it, pulling it back towards the driver. They said that it improves pedal feel, and as another poster said, he has a little bit of dead travel with the spring on there before you actually begin engaging so I can understand the "improvement in pedal feel theory".

Joey may jump in here and update us, he said that they were really backed up lately and he hadn't had quite enough time to get on tech.

Bumping this to see if there is anymore info about removing the clutch pedal return spring? I just installed a Monster Stg2 with a Tick MC and I have no engagement issues, but my pedal is low and has a dead spot at the top of its travel. My spring is still installed, but I am thinking that I should be removing it now. Will removing it result in worse pedal return?

the spring pullls the pedal up from the engaugement point causing a dead spot in the pedal. I removed mine and no dead spot. the pedal "sits" on the engaugement point. hope the explanation helps.
